Hi guys,
I've budgeted particularly well on this trip for our team. Just wondered if anyone knew offhand the total toll charges we will incur on the way to Prague?
Thanks

Hi there
2 websites will help you budget for costs in france.
A) Use www.viamichelin.co.uk/ and put in your route - in the directions it will tell you where the toll booths are and how much the toll is
B) The french gov reqiure all petrol stations to log their current prices and you can access these by town on this site - it's in English if you hit the union jack symbol at the top! http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/
Where ever possible buy your petrol/diesel in a supermarket - its much cheaper than petrol stations or motorways.
I believe there are tolls or vignettes required in Czech Rep see http://www.motorway.cz/stickers
As far as I know there are no tolls on Autobahns in Germany, but if you use the autobahns in Austria you have to get a Vignette or else face huge fines! see http://www.german-way.com/autobahn2.html
Perhaps Paul can tell us if we are likely to use Austrian Autobahns?
On last years Italian Job we found that petrol and fags were cheaper in Switzerland than in France - damn bankers!
Of course the major costs will be booze. Exhorbitant prices for europiss!

watch this space.......no Austrian Tolls incurred on the test run........seriously, day 2 is about enjoying the scenery (non motorway) and the trip into Bavaria.....no restaurant menus in English...........
